Frequently Asked Questions

A preliminary meeting in our showroom is a great start to get acquainted and discuss some of your inspirations for your new kitchen or bathroom. You will be given a full tour of our showroom by our friendly staff and gain insight into how our cabinets are manufactured. We have a variety of wood species and door styles to choose from and will be useful in the estimation process. We encourage you to bring in room dimensions and digital photos of your space. If you are unable to do so, our designers are more than happy to come out and measure your space for you at no charge! Once we have the dimensions, our designers will work on your space and prepare a design and quote for your next consultation.

A professional Ceara Kitchen’s designer will take care of the design. The owner, and contractor, of the company will make sure to take care of any structural changes, electric, plumbing, or any other major design changes to the space. If you are modifying any load bearing walls, we will recommend a professional architect to help apply for any required permits.

A custom kitchen is one of the best investments you can make in your home. It increases the value of your home not only in dollars but in aesthetic appeal and functionality. Custom offers a wide variety of finish choices with unlimited capabilities. Custom offers unlimited design flexibility and unlimited size variations. Because of the flexibility of cabinets you can apply any width, depth or height. High quality construction methods are also applied from beginning of the manufacturing process to end of the full project.

Ceara Kitchens is a local custom kitchen and bathroom manufacturer serving the Toronto/GTA community since 1992. For optimal durability, we construct our cabinets with ¾” maple plywood throughout. Doors are constructed with a solid maple frame surrounding a solid maple or plywood panel. Drawers are built using Half-lap Dovetail joints with ½” solid maple and Blum slides and hinges, all of which are soft-close and hold up to 40 kg. No MDF or particleboard is used in the construction of our products. When spraying or staining the doors to your colour preference, a ‘Post-cat’ clear lacquer is used throughout the priming, lacquering, and clear coating stages.

A very important step of our process is the pre-construction site visit and measure by a member of the Ceara Kitchens team. The importance of this measure is to make sure all previous site measurements are precise and to rectify any issues in advance.

At the design consultation, the designer will provide you with a detailed estimate of your project.
